Audio Books for the Perceptually Disabled
A library service for persons with a visual, physical, or
perceptual disability. Audiobooks are complete books recorded
on cassettes or discs. The cassettes can be played on any
audiocassette player, the
discs however must be played on a DAISY player.
To use this service you will need to complete an eligibility
form, available from your local library branch. Your branch
will arrange service for you. This may be by mail or pick-up
at the library by a
friend or relative. A staff member will discuss your reading
preferences and the format you prefer when you join the service.
